2026 National CPE Joint Completion Service

The 2026 National Joint Completion Service for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) was held on September 4 at St. Martin De Porres Hospital. Students and instructors from healthcare institutions across Taiwan gathered to celebrate and witness the completion of this meaningful learning journey.
Sister Chen Mei-Hui, Superintendent of St. Martin De Porres Hospital, encouraged the students, noting that CPE enables them to transcend geographical and cultural differences, connect with one another, and deepen their relationship with God through faith. When accompanying patients through suffering and life’s difficulties, she reminded the students "not to hold on too tightly," trusting that God will make up for what we lack. She also encouraged them to "learn to empty themselves"—letting go of heavy emotions and burdens to rediscover the strength to accompany others on their life journeys.
Completion is not an end, but the beginning of a mission. May the students carry a spirit of listening, empathy, acceptance, and compassion as they enter different life situations, conveying love, dignity, and hope through every encounter.
