Medical Outreach Brings Love and Care to Northern Thailand
Guided by the spirit of "Go wherever there is a need," St. Martin De Porres Hospital and Chung-Jen Junior College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Management have formed an International Medical Service Team to provide medical outreach in Mae Salong, Northern Thailand. The team departed on August 1 for a one-week medical mission, extending healthcare services and compassionate care beyond Taiwan's borders. This overseas outreach adds special significance to the hospital's 60th anniversary, reflecting its enduring commitment to serving communities in need.
The International Medical Service Team consists of 21 members, including seven staff members from St. Martin De Porres Hospital and fourteen participants from Chung-Jen Junior College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Management, comprising four faculty members and ten students. During the mission, the team will provide health screenings, first aid education, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training, and health education on basic infant and child care. Through these efforts, the team aims to improve the health literacy of local residents and promote healthier communities.
